I kept reading the last post over and over again…
This is one of those times when I cannot simply move on to the next topic
The power of the blessing is getting bigger in my heart and I have been thinking about Jesus. He died to grant us access to God and the blessed life – but are we maximizing His sacrifice?
How many people are truly living in the blessing?
I wonder how many times I have settled for less… How many times have I shortchanged myself?
How many times have I tried to make things happen?
But really – how do we maximize the sacrifice of God? How do we become proof producers? How do we walk in the fullness of the blessing?
Faith is the bridge that connects us to the blessing of God.
FAITH
That’s it!!!
We need to learn to live by faith in Jesus.
OK that sounds great – but what does faith really mean?
Faith is the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness (Hebrews 4:2 AMP)
In other words, we cannot only say that we trust God; we need to act like we do
We need to cast all our cares on Jesus and release the weight of it! We need to live in total dependence on God.
The natural instinct is to “do something” to make situations better. To walk in faith, we have to learn to wait on God and suppress the instinct to fix things in our lives.
Fear and faith cannot cohabit. It would have to be one or the other.
Fear says: nothing will change if you don’t make a move.
Faith says: trust God, He will show up for you.
The pressure of the urgent pushes us to want to do something. However, we have to determine not to be forced into making decisions. We need to snuff out every fear and roll our cares on God.
We really need to believe that God is who He says He is and that His words are true
We need to stop trying to be in control and let the blessing work for us
No wonder the bible says we have to labor to enter into God’s rest – We need to put an end to every self-effort.
We need to depend on God and forget about the carefully crafted plan B, C, etc.
We simply need to get out of the way and let God be God
In what areas of your life do you have to get out of God’s way?
Let us take God at His word this week and watch the blessing kick in.
The favor of God will open amazing doors for you. The favor of God brings ease and eliminates struggle – what a blessed place to be!
