Have you ever searched so hard for something only to find it right in front of you? Like having your glasses on your head and searching the house for it, or my personal favorite – stories of couples who were once friends with each searching for the perfect spouse – only to discover several heartbreaks later, that the friend is the perfect mate they had been searching for.
We do the same thing spiritually. We search so hard for things that we already have. We run after the ‘good things of life’ like everyone else when the key to abundance and all the good things of life belongs to us. Those things are actually fringe benefits for us.
The bible is clear about what we should seek and what we have:
(1) We are to seek first the Kingdom of God
“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” Mathew 6:33
(2) We are to seek for the Wisdom of God
“Skillful and godly Wisdom is more precious than rubies; and nothing you can wish for is to be compared to her. Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor.” Proverbs 3:15-16
If you have Jesus, you have life
“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
The core of your inheritance is abundant life. Jesus made His mission to the earth crystal clear: “…I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” John 10:10
You already have all you would ever need in life
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5: 13
The wording in the Amplified bible leaves no doubt at all – “so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, yes, eternal life.”
The devil capitalizes on ignorance and knowledge brings confidence.
“ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:14-15
The knowledge that we already have eternal life (Hey as He is, so are we in this world!) gives us confidence that all our prayers are heard and we leave the place of prayer with the answer to all of our prayers – The manifestation is just a matter of time!
Do not settle for an average life – Enjoy the abundant life that overflows!
