Our thoughts, choices and actions are a reflection of information that we are exposed to daily. The words we listen to, the people we spend time with and the books we read fill our hearts, shape our perceptions and greatly influence our lives.
“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Luke 6:45
Your words are a reflection of what is in your heart
Listen to your words: Are you speaking victory, progress, and good? Or are you speaking lack, disease, defeat and bitterness?
Where are those words coming from? Which input source is dominating your heart and producing fruit in your life?
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs 4:23
This year, be intentional about what you allow in your life. Be selective about what you listen to, your friends, the books you read and every other thing that flows into your life.
The quality of the input determines the quality of your outflow.
Fill your heart with the word of God this year by spending quality time studying the bible. Feed on the Word of God. Meditate on the scriptures and unearth the treasures. The secret to abundance and fulfillment is in the word of God. The bible contains the answer to EVERY situation – study it and find out how to live a victorious life.
“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Joshua 1:8
When you get new equipment, you can figure out how it works in two ways:
(i) You could start operating it immediately fiddling with the controls to discover the functions through trial and error; but then you will never be able to maximize the potential of the equipment because you have no way of knowing everything it was designed to do
(ii) You can read the owner’s manual to discover what the equipment can do, then you can follow the instructions and the equipment would do exactly what it was designed to do
The Word of God is the owner’s manual – do not operate your life without it
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
As you go about your daily activities this week, reflect God on purpose by filling your heart with the Word of God.
